Prai...This is EXACTLY how I get through depression. Praise as much as possible. For every negative, scary, depressing, degrading thought, look around and find something to thank the Lord for. It doesn't cure the depression, but it strengthens my faith and renews my mind. Thank you for sharing this (popping over from Joy's today).Turquoise Gateshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14757439386076840547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1562864865446603326.post-80940323915067600852013-02-23T14:37:08.728-05:002013-02-23T14:37:08.728-05:00Yes! I totally understand what you are saying here...Yes! I totally understand what you are saying here! That is very much how I felt! So bizzare!
I wouldnt say that I have found a balance of any kind. Hahaha. I am very far from it. I have spent a LOT of time in my walk with Jesus trying to figure out what group of Christians I fit in with best, and who's ways I like better etc. While I do find myself very honored you would consider my writings to be somewhat along the lines of Christian Mystics you know, and evangelicals alike, I also want to stop myself from feeling prideful because I am not sure I want to nessesarily be identified as anything other than a Child of God, who is in total love and surrender to Christ and lives by the guiding of Holy Spirit. I think when we make it this simple and still so powerful in a sense and humbly recognize its not what group we identify with, but Who has given us an identity in Him that we find the balance...wow I just surpised myself with that answer! HAHAHA!
Thats the ticket!
May God send blessings to you as well!
Candace Novakowskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13872745391134995655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1562864865446603326.post-58356222052637538352013-02-23T13:28:03.184-05:002013-02-23T13:28:03.184-05:00its terrific to hear that your walk with God is he...its terrific to hear that your walk with God is heading back into greatness again. I find it funny how sometimes it feels like we are picked up and dropped off into a not so familiar place and then it is like suddenly dropped back into what we understand almost like over night. A divine shift perhaps. you write much like a few of my mystic friends and i admire how you seem to have a balance between the more mystic side and evangelical side of christianity. you seem to make it work. i wish too myself i could figure out how to find that balance, but you may say to allow him to figure it out for me.
*Gods blessingsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
